How shipping works on TIAS
TIAS manages all shipping for items purchased on the platform. Shipping rates are calculated automatically based on item weight, dimensions, and delivery destination, ensuring accurate and fair pricing for every order.
For buyers: Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the item's weight, dimensions, and your delivery address. You'll see the exact shipping cost before confirming your purchase. Shipping rates are provided by our carrier partners and include tracking and insurance services.
For sellers: TIAS handles all shipping logistics. You provide your item's weight and dimensions when creating a listing, and we generate shipping labels and tracking automatically when orders are placed. Your ships-from ZIP code is used as the origin for rate calculations.
Shipping rates are calculated in real time using our carrier partners. Rates depend on:
For items over $200, shipping insurance is automatically included. Orders over $500 require a signature at delivery for added security.
10 Calendar Day Fulfillment Window
Sellers are expected to confirm shipping (or complete local pickup) within 10 calendar days of purchase. After day 10, if shipping or pickup has not been confirmed, the buyer becomes eligible to request a refund through their order page.
If your order isn't confirmed as shipped or picked up within 10 days:
This timeline applies to non-fulfillment only. Issues with delivered items follow the separate post-delivery claim process described in our Terms of Service.
Typical delivery timeframes after shipping:
These are estimates. Actual delivery times depend on the carrier, destination, and other factors.
Some sellers offer local pickup as an alternative to shipping. For local pickup orders, TIAS uses a unique pickup code to confirm the handoff and release the seller's funds. The code is the proof TIAS uses to verify that pickup occurred — the equivalent of a delivery scan for shipped orders.
For buyers:
For sellers:
Contactless / porch pickup: If both parties agree on a contactless handoff, the buyer is expected to pick up the item, inspect it, and then send the code digitally — through the order page, text, or email — once satisfied.
If the buyer loses the code: Check the original order confirmation email and the order page first. If the code can't be located, contact TIAS Support and we will retrieve it from our records after verifying identity.
If the buyer refuses to provide the code after a completed pickup: The seller should contact TIAS Support with their message history from the order page and any other evidence of the handoff. TIAS will review and may issue an override release.
TIAS tracks all shipments to confirm delivery. Once an item is delivered, buyers have a 2-day verification window to inspect the item and confirm everything is as expected. If there's an issue — such as damage or the item not matching its description — report it during this window for the fastest resolution.
For buyers: This verification window is part of TIAS's buyer protection. If you don't report an issue within 2 days of delivery, the transaction is considered complete. Issues reported after this window will still be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
For sellers: Delivery confirmation is what triggers the release of funds from your Pending Balance to your Available to Withdraw balance in your Wallet.
If you have questions about a specific order's shipping, start by contacting the seller directly through the "Contact Seller" button on the order or listing page. For unresolved issues, TIAS Support is available to help mediate and ensure a fair resolution for both parties.
